Sapphire and Diamond Platinum Engagement Ring and Band

A gorgeous rarely-seen classic. A Sapphire Engagement ring with a matching band. This platinum set features an engagement ring with an emerald cut Natural Blue Sapphire flanked by tapered baguette cut natural diamonds, which nestle into a double tapered baguette diamond band. The Sapphire is a gorgeous shade of deep cornflower blue; it simply glows! Having both rings takes all the guesswork out of finding a band to sit perfectly with your rectangular cut gem. What a fab find, circa 1940-50.

This ring set comes with an insurance replacement cost appraisal. The appraisal is done by an independent gem lab. The appraised value is $7,950.

Sapphire & Diamond Details.....Engagement Ring: The Natural Blue Sapphire is Rectangular Cut, transparent, and slightly included. It measures 7.50mm x 5.95mm x 3.65mm and weighs 1.78 carats. There are two tapered baguette-cut natural diamonds with a total weight of .29 carats, VS H-I. Wedding Band: two tapered baguette-cut natural diamonds with a total weight of .41 carats VS-SI H-I.

Details.....Currently, a size 6.5, one free sizing (within two sizes) is included with the purchase. The engagement ring measures 8.7mm x 16.7mm at the gem set top. The shoulder of the ring measures 2.5mm, and the back measures 1.9mm. The band measures 3.2mm x 16.7mm. In Excellent Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
